UPDATE 06/28: Robert Knepper(Prison Break) has been casted as Samuel, “The Carnival Barker.” Deanne Bray(L World) will portray Peter’s love interest “Emma,” while Madeline Zima(The Nanny, Californication) landed the role of Gretchen “Claire’s Roommate.” Rick Worthy (Battlestar Galatica) joins the cast as “Matt’s partner”, and Ray Park(X-Men, Star Wars Episode I) has been hinted as the “Knife Thrower.”

NBC’s Heroes is preparing for its highly anticipated return in the Fall. In our possession are the initial casting calls for Season 4 titled Redemption. The following breakdowns include new characters on episodes 401, 402 and 403 along with the filming dates and small descriptions for the roles.

The whole carnival thing feels kinda dumb to me… I don’t know i just dont think it’ll be a good storyline and I cant see it being in the Heroes world…

I wish they brought Audrey back rather than introducing another new character (Matt’s partner), but we’ll see how this goes.
I have to agree, I don’t see how the carnival concept fits into the theme of “redemption”, especially if these new characters are going to be sticking around for at least half the season… perhaps it’s again: “ordinary people, extraordinary abilities”? Maybe these carnies have abilities, too, and are using them to help their acts? Like Doyle, or even Sylar- using their abilities in their jobs? We’ll see.
I’m not too sure about Claire’s roommate. Judging by the “Ellen Page” complex, I’m thinking that maybe… Claire will eventually get close enough to “come out”, so to speak? I wouldn’t mind a few more comedic scenes, and I definitely think this character will be some laughs.
The hearing-impaired character will really be played by a hearing-impaired actress? I’m not too sure about how I feel towards that. Well, on our side (the audience), it’ll look real and genuine, but wouldn’t it be a little harder to work with someone who actually has a disability like that? Hmm… oh well. I’m sure everything will end up great.
